Countryside Days

Tuesday 5th June and Wednesday 6th June 2018

Countryside Days offers Key Stage 2 children the opportunity to experience all aspects of food, farming, the countryside and healthy living. The day will involve a variety of workshops and arena displays including rural crafts, birds of prey, farm animals, the legendary Sheep Show, pond dipping and many more. The event starts at 9.30am and ends at 2.30pm and includes 6 interactive sessions which will be timetabled for your group prior to the day. As this event is a major focus of the charitable activities undertaken by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, there is no charge for schools attending.

Each year we include a number of competitions which in the past have included cheese judging and model competitions. The details of this year’s competitions will be sent to schools once your booking is confirmed.
