Farming - From the Female Perspective
The joys and challenges of farming from the female perspective are the subject of a lunch event being organised by the Yorkshire Rural Support Network.
Lorna Tyson, a farmer’s wife and businesswoman from The Wirral, is the guest speaker at the event on Thursday 21 March at Sandburn Hall, near Flaxton, York.
Kate Dale, the Network Co-ordinator said: “Women are often at the very heart of farming businesses so this event is aimed at bringing together people of like mind who might otherwise be coping with pressures on their own. We hope it will prove both informative and enjoyable.”
The event begins with coffee at 10.30am, followed by Mrs Tyson’s talk and then a two course lunch. The event is also supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, The Tenant Farmers Association, McCains, and CundallsRFAS, which offers business and administration services to farming businesses and are also auctioneers and land agents.
Tickets are limited to 50 and cost £15 per head. For more information please contact Kate Dale on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07912 495 604.
