Get the most out of your visit to Countryside Days
Each year in early May, we run a Teacher Familiarisation Afternoon for Countryside Days.
The event takes place on-site at the Yorkshire Event Centre and provides an opportunity to meet the organisers, find out more about the format of the day, run through Health and Safety and take a tour of the site.
An invitation to the Teacher Familiarisation Afternoon will be sent to all schools who register for Countryside Days.
Teacher Familiarisation Afternoon
Each year we run a Teacher Familiarisation Afternoon at the Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, HG2 8NZ. An invitation for this will be emailed to all schools that sign up for Countryside Days.
This session is an opportunity for you to find out more about the format of the day, Health and Safety considerations and to tour the site. You will meet the organisers and have opportunities to ask any questions you may have.
Date: Thursday 11th May 2023
Time: 1-3pm
Venue: Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, HG2 8NZ
We strongly recommend that you join us at our Teacher Familiarisation Afternoon. As Countryside Days is a timetabled event, it is hugely beneficial to the smooth running of the event if school staff are well-prepared and understand the layout.
Educational Initiative of the Year
We are proud that Countryside Days has been recognised by The Yorkshire Post as Educational Initiative of the Year in its Rural Awards 2025.
