Training Courses
We offer a range of free courses for staff from Nurseries, Primary and Secondary Schools. Each course will specify the Key Stage level that is it aimed towards.
The majority of courses are held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate with occasional courses held at other venues around Yorkshire.
All courses are organised and funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. They are FREE for participants, however, cancellations within 5 working days of the course start date will be charged £50 + VAT.

Wednesday 4 November 2026 – Muddy Maths - EYFS & KS1
Maths ideas and inspiration to take back to school and use in any of your outdoor spaces. Learn different ways to deliver maths activities using natural materials and simple equipment.
This course is FREE for participants and has been organised and funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
Muddy Maths will include both indoor and outdoor sessions so please bring appropriate clothing along with both indoor and outdoor footwear.
Wednesday 11 November 2026 – The Language of Nature – EYFS & KS1
A hands-on outdoor day with ideas to develop children’s language and literacy skills through imaginative, multisensory, nature-based activities.
This course is FREE for participants and has been organised and funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The Language of Nature will include both indoor and outdoor sessions so please bring appropriate clothing along with both indoor and outdoor footwear.
