Farmers’ first aid training in Pontefract – 9 March 2026

Highly-discounted places are available to join a Farmer First Aid Training Course in Pontefract, West Yorkshire on Monday 9 March 2026, between 10am and 2pm.

Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and taking place at Farmer Copleys, this farm and forestry practical first aid course will support you with how to deal with life threatening incidents and accidents on-farm.

The cost of taking this training course is 80% covered by the Society to make this potentially life-saving training accessible to all.

Places are just £20 +VAT per person (normal course fee is £99 + VAT).

A limited number of places are available on a first-come first-served basis.

The course is delivered by the F3A charity.

The course covers:

  • The aims of first aid, scene safety and the role of the First Aider
  • Assessing a casualty using the Primary Survey
  • Unresponsive and breathing casualty – recovery position
  • Unresponsive and not breathing casualty CPR using current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) – rationale for using the AED, safe use, reporting/recording, handover to the emergency services
  • Treatment of crush injury, amputation, impalement, and severe bleeding
