Comprehensive Financial Planning training is being offered to members of the Future Farmers of Yorkshire at the start of 2023.
Knowing Your Numbers: Financial Planning for Future Farmers will take place over three days: 19th and 25th January 2023 and 1st February 2023, from 10.30am to 2.30pm on each day, with a break for lunch included.
Seize the opportunity
There has never been a more critical time for farmers to get to grips with their farm finances and so Future Farmers have teamed up with Savills to provide our members with a comprehensive Financial Planning programme.
Participants will cover all aspects of financial planning, from account analysis, to business planning and sourcing funding.
Learning will take in small groups, in person.
Feedback from previous attendees
This course was first run in 2021 and feedback was really encouraging:
As a first-generation farmer I feel sometimes like I’m wading through the dark with things like this and it was great to do the course as well as meet other farmers who are open minded and have interesting pathways.
I’ve already started to analyse my annual accounts (and prepare them) in a way that is helpful to the farm rather than just being for the tax man. It’s giving me a far better understanding of what is working and what isn’t.

The skills covered in this training programme are essential in order to make informed decisions about the future of farm businesses under the new Government funding policy.
Future Farmers and Savills have put a lot of work into making a programme that we think will be of real value to farmers.
We would urge members to make the most of this heavily subsidised and unique opportunity.
