The Yorkshire Rural Support Network invites all members of the farming community, and their friends, to two events this November which aim to bring people together.
Up Hill & Down Dale
All are welcome at ‘Up Hill & Down Dale’ on Tuesday 1st November, 2-4pm at Pavilions of Harrogate on the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate.
This get-together is part of an ongoing commitment to those who have given so much to farming life over many years.
It will be presented by social history curator Virginia Arrowsmith who will share memories of farming in North Yorkshire over the last 100 years.
Virginia will bring along artefacts (pictured above) and slides to encourage discussion and memories and there will be an opportunity to meet other like-minded friends and enjoy tea and cake together.
The event is free of charge, but booking is essential. Email kated@yas.co.uk or call Kate on 07912 495604.
Farming Community Lunch
A hot lunch, pudding and a cuppa will be served at £7.50/head at a Farming Community Lunch at The Gavel Café, Thirsk Mart on Monday 7th November from 12noon.
This get-together is supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, Yorkshire Rural Support Network, R.A.B.I and The Farming Community Network.
Booking is essential, email Kated@yas.co.uk or call Kate on 07912 495604.
