Comprehensive Financial Planning training is being offered by Future Farmers of Yorkshire.
Knowing Your Numbers: Financial Planning for Future Farmers will take place at Pavilions of Harrogate, at the Great Yorkshire Showground, over three days:
- Tuesday 27th February 2024
- Wednesday 6th March 2024
- Thursday 14th March 2024
Each training day runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm on each day, with a break for lunch included.
Places are heavily discounted, priced at just £50 + VAT*, thanks to funding from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
The skills covered in this training programme are essential in order to make informed decisions about the future of farm businesses under the new Government funding policy.
A timely opportunity
With volatile and unpredictable weather and commodity markets, and the changing direction of agricultural policies, making the numbers stack up is no simple task.
Could there be a more important time to get to grips with your farm finances?
This is why Future Farmers has teamed up with Savills to provide our members with a comprehensive Financial Planning programme.
Participants will cover all aspects of financial planning, from account analysis, to business planning and sourcing funding.
Learning will take in small groups, in person.
Feedback from previous attendees
Our Financial Management Programme was first run in 2021. It was repeated in 2023 and the feedback has been really encouraging:
As a first-generation farmer I feel sometimes like I’m wading through the dark with things like this and it was great to do the course as well as meet other farmers who are open minded and have interesting pathways.
I’ve already started to analyse my annual accounts (and prepare them) in a way that is helpful to the farm rather than just being for the tax man. It’s giving me a far better understanding of what is working and what isn’t.
Having experienced the first run of this course, I can heartily recommend it! Be sharp if you’re interested, the last places will soon fill.
Secure your place
Future Farmers and Savills have put a lot of work into making a programme that we think will be of real value to farmers.
We would urge members to make the most of this heavily subsidised and unique opportunity.
*The normal cost of this training is £187.50 + VAT. This course is kindly funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and the Partnership Investment Fund Limited.
