Places are now available on a first-come first-served basis for the next in our series of Farmer First Aid Training Courses – in Scarborough and Holmfirth.
This Farm and Forestry practical first aid course will support you with how to deal with life threatening incidents and accidents on-farm.
There are 10 places available for each of the following dates, with the course running between 10am and 2pm on each day.

The course covers:
- The aims of first aid, scene safety and the role of the First Aider
- Assessing a casualty using the Primary Survey
- Unresponsive and breathing casualty – recovery position
- Unresponsive and not breathing casualty CPR using current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines
- AED (Automated External Defibrillator) – rationale for using the AED, safe use, reporting/recording, handover to the emergency services
- Treatment of crush injury, amputation, impalement, and severe bleeding
The cost of taking this training course is 80% covered by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, meaning places are available for just £20 +VAT per person (normal course fee is £99 + VAT).
