Industry Insight visit
Chippindale Foods, Flaxby near Knaresborough
Wednesday 2nd April 2025
Members of Future Farmers of Yorkshire are being offered a chance to go behind the scenes at Yorkshire’s biggest egg packer*.
Our next Industry Insight visit is to Chippindale Foods in Flaxby, near Knaresborough.
It’s a unique opportunity to get valuable insights into the egg supply chain at a site which supplies Morrisons.
Morrisons’ own manufacturing business Myton Food Group acquired Chippindale Foods in 2018 from the Chippindale Family.
The state of the art facility in Flaxby covers 55,000 square feet and is used to grade and pack shell eggs and manufactures liquid egg for use in further processing.
All of the eggs are sourced directly from UK producers, working closely with a small group of producers. In total, the site grades and packs more than 14 million eggs a week.
