G.R.I.P. empowers you to find joy in your work and farm with purpose, leading to more profitable and sustainable businesses, and you will develop a step-by-step plan to achieve your goals for the next year.

Please scroll down the page for more details.

The course is part-funded by the Frank Parkinson Agricultural Trust, making it an accessible investment in your future. Places are available at £75 per person and this includes all 4 sessions (2x in-person, 2x online) and refreshments and lunch at both in-person sessions.

What to expect from this training course

Amy has developed the course using learnings from 15 years of knowledge exchange, training, and behavioural science experience.

This isn’t just about farming; it’s about understanding your behaviour and decision-making patterns to create lasting, positive change on your farm.

Watch this 5-minute clip with Amy below for a further explanation of what the course can do for you.

G.R.I.P. will guide you through:

Understanding Current Behaviour

How are you operating at the moment? What’s influencing your decisions, and what’s blocking you from moving forward? If we can master our own behaviour and thought processes, we can start to move towards what we want to achieve.

Setting Clear Direction

What are your goals and objectives for your farm? Is everyone else on the same page? Are you being driven by things within your control or spending your time and energy worrying about the things you can’t control?

Understanding and bringing others with you

We all come up against resistance to change in those we work closely with, but what’s causing that, and how do we deal with it to achieve a positive outcome for everyone?

Action Planning

What are your next steps, and how do you get there? Who do you need to involve, and what’s the best way to approach it? Who do you need support from, and how are you going to know when you’ve got to where you want to be?

Future Farmers of Yorkshire was launched in 2010 to bring together like-minded farmers, vets and industry supporters.

Since then the group has been joined by over 1,000 forward-thinking members, eager to expand their knowledge and excel in their careers. We support them by providing a platform for debate and the sharing of ideas.

The group is supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and is open to everyone within the industry. Members are from a range of sectors and enterprise sizes, with a mix of tenants, owner-occupiers, managers and employees.
