Free online training to understand how world and domestic markets influence UK farm gate prices is being offered by the Future Farmers of Yorkshire.
Price fluctuations are one of the few constants with grain trading, and farmers can optimise their returns and manage risks by having a good understanding of this market volatility.
Members of Future Farmers are invited to secure their place, with numbers capped at 12 and places available on a first-come first-served basis.
Where and when?
Held online and delivered by grain marketing consultancy ODA, two free seminars have been specifically designed for our members.
Each session will last for one hour and will be followed by a Q&A.
The seminars cover:
- The theory of grain marketing for a UK farmer
Monday 14th February, 9.30-10.30am, followed by a Q&A
- What are the main price influencers to world grain prices?
Tuesday 15th February, 9.30-10.30am, followed by a Q&A
This training comes highly recommended by fellow Future Farmers and will help you make informed decisions on grain marketing, taking into account market fluctuations, world stocks, weather extremes and predicted global crop yields.
There is a lot of information to balance when making the decision to buy or sell.
