Delivered by RABI (the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), this course will help you understand mental health in the farming community, and how you can help.
The training day is sponsored by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, and will cover the following topics:
- Understanding common mental health issues
- Recognising key signs and symptoms
- How to create an effective action plan to support others
- Looking after your own wellbeing
This training is followed by two years of aftercare so you can check your understanding or discuss your experience of supporting others.
To date, more than 30 Future Farmers have benefited from this course and we are keen to offer the opportunity to more of our members.
Please note: If you cannot attend your booking, there will be a cancellation charge.
The Future Farmers of Yorkshire was launched in 2010 to bring together like-minded farmers, vets and industry supporters.
Since then the group has been joined by over 1,000 forward-thinking members, eager to expand their knowledge and excel in their careers. We support them by providing a platform for debate and the sharing of ideas.
The group is supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and is open to everyone within the industry. Members are from a range of sectors and enterprise sizes, with a mix of tenants, owner-occupiers, managers and employees.
