Negotiation Skills Training

Future Farmers Negotiation Skills Training

Tuesday 25th June 2019
8.15am – 5.30pm
Regional Agricultural Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, HG2 8NZ

We would all like to be masters of the art of negotiation but, in reality, many of us struggle with where to even start!

Negotiating is a skill you’re not likely to learn at college or university. Negotiating truly is a skill that you pick up, in your business, through practical experience. There are many ways to negotiate, and in some form or fashion you negotiate everyday of your life. Whether you are trying to persuade a family member to accept your point of view or you’re buying a new piece of farm machinery.

Most of us know individuals who go into a negotiation and accomplish what we can only dream of. Strategically manoeuvring the meeting to get the result that they wanted. What is the secret?

This course will introduce and practise the core skills of negotiation. Giving you the tools to be in stronger position the next time you enter into a negotiation.

This course was run, for the first time, last October, and the Future Farmer attendees have wholeheartedly recommended that we repeat the day.

Attendees are asked to contribute £50 towards the cost of the course, which is subsidised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Lunch is included.

To secure you place, simply contact Shirley or Karen on 01423 541000 and make your payment.

Come with an open mind and a sense of humour – this is Future Farmers, after all!
