The Yorkshire Agricultural Society has serious concerns for wellbeing within this great industry that we are dedicated to promoting, supporting and educating the public about.
Following recent government announcements, we understand that there are significant challenges for farming families.
Whilst we are apolitical as a registered charity, we want to understand how you feel about your role as British food producers and guardians of the countryside.
To do so, we will be launching a survey to assess confidence and wellbeing. Your feedback will inform our activities to support farmers and will allow us to demonstrate the current outlook of the industry.
Our survey will be sent directly to members and stakeholders via email in the coming days.
What we are doing next to support and promote farming
We have a number of events coming up to encourage connection and networking.
Support events to help farmers navigate announcements made in the Autumn Budget: 28th April at Farmers Copleys, Pontefract, on 29th April at Driffield Showground, on 30th April at The Huntsman Inn, Holmfirth and on 1st May at The Golden Lion, Northallerton.
